New torsional vibration damper for CLAAS JAGUAR: prevent costly secondary damage

The problem with the original design
The torsional vibration damper is mounted on the flywheel and connects the engine to the main drive gearbox.
On older versions, the springs sit centrally around the hub of the damper. They are susceptible to breakage. If a spring breaks and falls out, it can damage surrounding components.
The consequences can be significant. In addition to the damper itself, the flywheel and flywheel housing may be damaged, resulting in costly repairs and unnecessary downtime during the season.
The solution: a new dual-mass flywheel
The CLAAS upgrade kit allows the original torsional vibration damper to be replaced with a new design.
The new design uses a dual-mass flywheel. Its springs are enclosed inside the assembly. If a spring breaks, it cannot fall out and cause the same type of damage to surrounding parts.
The dual-mass flywheel also provides better vibration damping, helping the engine and drivetrain run more smoothly.
What does the upgrade kit contain?
- A new torsional vibration damper (dual-mass flywheel).
- An adapter plate.
- A matching set of bolts.
